Although I work for a Worthing web design company, as an online content writer I have never learnt the art of coding beyond a little HTML from back in the days when Myspace.com was the leading social network globally. I have seen many online campaigns set up this year however in which everyday folk are being encouraged to learn new coding languages. Although this might be a time consuming challenge, I think that it is one that I will set for myself in 2012. The advent of blogging platforms and YouTube has no doubt helped to democratise the World Wide Web and increasing the number of coders out there will only increase this democracy further.
